International Female Ride Day 2014
May 3, 2014
International Female Ride Day is an annual global event traditionally held on the first Friday in May to celebrate and encourage women and riding around the world on the same day. This year it has been moved to the first Saturday in May to give more women the chance to participate.
This is the third year for the event to be held in Indy. The first year, the event was held in memory of an amazing lady rider. Last year, we held a great moto maintenance 101 seminar. This year we are teaming up with Dreyer Honda South to give you a chance to try out some cool rider gadgets. Arrive early to sign up to demo GoPros, communication systems, and heated gear (hopefully we won’t need that) on our ride. (These are available first come first served while supplies last with a security deposit.)
9:00-10:00 Meet at Dreyer Honda South (595 E.Tracy Rd. Whiteland, In.)- donuts and coffee will be provided
10:00-4:00 Ride to Cataract Falls, lunch in Spencer, and ride back to Dreyer Honda South. Since we will be traveling some scenic, curvy roads, the skill level for this ride is beginner to intermediate.
The event in Indy is open to all women and the guys who support us… but let’s see if we can out number the men this year. And let’s hope the weather is more cooperative this year.
The ride will be escorted.
The event is FREE, although you will need cover your own lunch in Spencer. Lunch will be at Chambers buffet, but feel free to eat at one of the other restaurants in town.
