Taylor D. Ivy
Biography
Taylor was born and raised in Southern Indiana. He is the second of five children. At the age of five tragedy struck the Ivy household when his father was severely injured in an ATV accident. Because of this traumatic experience, Taylor decided he wanted to help families impacted by injuries the way his was.
Growing up on the White River, Taylor spent a lot of his childhood fishing, hunting, and helping his grandparents around the cabin. At the age of thirteen he went to work in the melon fields of Owensville, Indiana. In high school he attended the Southern Indiana Career and Technical Center as well as Gibson Southern High School where he completed the Building Trades program. Taylor is OSHA 30 Certified and has a specialized experience with the construction industry.
Thereafter, Taylor attended the University of Southern Indiana and in 2018 graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management. During his time at USI he interned with the Warrick County Prosecutor’s Office. In 2018, Taylor attended Southern Illinois University School of Law in Carbondale, Illinois where he helped bring an expungement and sealing clinic to the law school and was the winner of the Pro Bono Idea Competition offered through the law school. After completing his first year at SIU, Taylor transferred to Indiana University McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis to be with family. While at McKinney, Taylor began working with Ladendorf Fregiato & Bigler as a law clerk and upon graduating in 2021 Taylor was offered a full time position as an Associate Attorney.
Taylor lives in Speedway with his wife, Rachal, and two dogs – Enzo and Tesla. He enjoys fishing, wood-working, and playing rec league sports. He is licensed to practice in all Indiana Courts as well as the Northern and Southern Districts of the United States District Courts of Indiana.
