The Hoosier State Press Association’s Foundation Charity Motorcycle Ride

Inaugural HSPA Foundation 2015 Charity Motorcycle Ride. The HSPA is kicking off a new event to help raise funds for the education and scholarship efforts of the Foundation. The ride is $30 for single riders and $50 for couples (on one bike or two). Payment and registration is required before the day of the ride. Please note there are several links in this announcement. RIDE: August 29, 2015 at 1 p.m. we’ll leave Crawfordsville, from the parking lot behind The Paper of Montgomery County (101 W. Main Street), and travel to The Ernie Pyle Museum, in Dana, IN.
There will be a quick safety meeting at 12:45 p.m. before we depart. The route is: US 47 south out of downtown Crawfordsville to US 41, Left (south) on US 41 down through Rockville, IN Right (west) on US36, through Montezuma, to IN 71 At IN 71 turn north (right) to ride into Dana. The museum is easy to find on the south side of town (west side of the street), and has parking across the street that should accommodate all our motorcycles. Ride time from The Paper of Montgomery County, in Crawfordsville, IN, is approximately 1 hour (48.2 miles).
TOUR: Ms. Myers, president of The Ernie Pyle Museum, has arranged a guided tour of the home of Indiana’s most famous journalist. The tour is free to all participating riders.
PRIZES: Prior to leaving Crawfordsville, we’ll tally riders for the one who has traveled the farthest and to have all the riders vote on their favorite participating bike. After the tour, the farthest traveling rider will go home with a $100 gift certificate from Cycle Outfitters and the rider with the most coveted bike with receive a $50 gift certificate to their favorite restaurant! And the HSPA will present a plaque to the group with the most riders participating.

A safety car will accompany the ride, and it will have bottled water for the riders Law enforcement from each community we’re passing through will be notified. We have a waiver/signup form for you to review and fax back to us. And payment is required before the ride, please click the link below to reserve your spot!
The Ernie Pyle Museum has restrooms (portopotty outside and a bathroom downstairs in the museum) There is a pizzeria and a restaurant across the street from the museum, if you’d like to catch a bite after the tour and before heading home After the tour all riders are free to make their way home.
